I have never made Jam in my life. Last night we went for a walk and picked some Wild Cherries.

I found a recipe on HedgerowHarvest and made the Jam

Then I bottled the Jam in some old Jars and made some bread. Can't wait for breakfast.

Looks good :approve: and I bet the house smells wonderful :)

Hedgrow fruits are a quiet delight, and later on in the year, when you open up a jar of 'potted summer', the memories are good all over again :)

cheers,
Toddy

It's typical that this year because everything is a couple weeks or more late I'm going to miss the cherry plum harvest on the 2 trees I pick regularly.

They need about another four or five days to ripen off and that's when I'm due to head down for the moot. Sadly as you can see it's going to be a bumper crop :(

That looked scrummy, I love it when you find something for free so to speak and then use it to your advantage.

I bet that won't last long :)

Don't worry Gaudette, I've found the website and the recipe. Thanks for pointing it out.
