Not far from Calais in France
Tomorrow I'm going to the beach for a picnic. Afterwards I plan to sleep there in the dunes. I'll take a 3 season bag, tarp and hobo stove. Apart from Whisky what else should I take? And any other advice gratefully received.

Facile: des pains au chocolat mais naturellement. Dormir dans les plages francais, c'est impossible sans cettes pains pour le petit dejeuner :p

Maybe some sort of ground cloth, to keep the sand at bay, swimming shorts and/or towl for a quick morning swim?

Enjoy!

Hi,
camping on the beach is actually forbidden in France and this is the place that is the most likely to be under watch. This is a very fragile ecosystem. If you still want to give it a try be aware that there is a god chance of police visit, so you might want:
- to keep low profile, bivvy rather than tarp; no fire at all; no light
- avoid fixed blades and locking folders; you woul dnot need them if you don't do fire anyway
