Whoopie slings

Hi there
I've been looking to make my own whoopie slings, but getting the cordage is not easy in France.... I have found a saling shop online that stocks this: http://www.marlowropes.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=77:excel-d12&catid=51:dinghy-windsurfing&Itemid=221

It says the 2.5mm is 569kg and the 3mm 990kg.... Is this stuff what I need?

Yes, you'll be fine with those.

Hung right at around 30 degrees, a hammock exerts a force roughly equal to your weight on each end. Multiply your weight by around 5 to choose the appropriate strength, most people use the thinner braid though. Knots will weaken this line, this advice is for spliced whoopies.
