Where are the butterflies?

Nearly the end of September and the ivy and the Michaelmass Daisies are full of Red Admirals this afternoon
Quite lovely to see.

Honey bees on our local ivy. I could hear the buzz, and it took me a few seconds to realise what I was hearing, as i walked along the path into town.
so long since I've seen and heard so many bees in one place.
It was lovely to listen to. I've missed the buzz of bees in my garden the last few years, despite growing more flowers than I ever used to.
