I have a base of carrots celery onions and shallots with thyme and streaky bacon here, adding in a jar of passata and cook until the carrots are just soft.

Serving this with a whack of pasta and some shredded road lamb. Yum

Looks great! What are you using for your fire bowl?

Mt fire bowl is a 'fire pit' bought in a garden centre sale for 20 quid last year, basically a stand with a steel bowl that fits in the top and holds the fire. I've had some pretty hot burns in it, even managed a forged hanging basket bracket and not a scratch on the paint. Don't know if it is very bushcraft but ts certainly snazzy
