What's this structure?

I see this field structure whenever I head northbound on the M11 from London and it's bugging me as to what it is or its purpose and who built it

If you know anything about it please enlighten me

It's just south of the Junction with the M25 and is quite big.

This is the view I have of it from the motorway. As you can see it's a banked construction with what appears to be walkways along each banking

I don't think it's that old and there's nothing on OS maps to say it's something ancient

Well, while we're on, this is a pic of Freshwater on the Isle of Wight. I was looking for a little cottage we stayed in and noticed it.
