You tend to see em in very cold climates, White, sort of a frame made out of homemade wooden poles, stove inside , quite retro / prospector looking.

What they called and were can I get one ?

Na it's a wall tent you're thinking of.
Heavy duty (heavy) canvas cut your own polls it's what the yanks use alot in cold weather for hunting trips.

Sounds like a wall tent to me too. The nearest thing that would be readily available here is a scouts patrol tent; Blacks Icelandic or some such thing, or one of the bigger army tents.
Heavy gear- car job, but will cope with anything the weather is likely to throw at it in this country. I've a couple of 10' x 8' -ers and have used them individually & together year round.

Probably a baker tent if it has a flap that provides an awning which can close off the front when you don't want the fire in front
