what to do?

hi there again guys and gals,

i have just purchased a brand new wetterlings carpenters axe, but no use , i dont know what to carve? any ideas on breaking the new axe in?

i,ve just started a totem pole with my new axe,...from a classic Haida design,,,,Google it!,..there's allsorts of ideas,..

a big thick old birch truck , im gonna season it off a little and let the kids paint it up,..
