What to do with a lot a laurel

Hello all,

I've just chopped down a large laurel in the garden, any suggestions what I could do with it?
if Its suitable I'd get it dried and turn it, or carve some things.
If not is it suitable for burning inside? Or best chucked onto the bonfire?

The wood is rather good for working, and carves a nice spoon. Some will worry about toxicity, but that is the foliage rather than the wood.
