What species of deer are these?

As I was putting the finishing touches on Li'l Cumbrian's new climbing frame ( a Jolly Roger ), I looked over the back wall into my neighbour's garden and saw two deer. They stayed there for ages, and the boy and me watched them forage, run around and pretend to fight.
I knew that we had deer around the village, but I'd never expected to see them while doing a bit of DIY. The only thing is, which species are they? Can anyone tell me from these ropey photos?

That's what I suspected, but I thought that we just had Reds around here.
