My eldest is currently doing his exams, so he's only attending school in the morning to sit them. He got home today and disappeared into the garden, so I followed him and discovered....

The grey material is lint from the drier... lit first strike.

He's now in the garden with his freshly made mini-fire coffee.

This made me so happy seeing the lad boiling his water having come home from an exam. I really hope being outdoors, mucking about seriously, will help with the pressure of exams. Even if he sits lightly to the, himself he'll pick up stress from his class mates. Getting out doors (even if only a garden) seems a great antidote, good on his dad too...

He's quite relaxed about his exams for the most part and he seems to have a nice balance between studying and chilling out.

Was a bit shocked to see him with the fire steel though... and ironically I'd just boiled the kettle and made a brew... felt almost guilty I'd done it the 'easy way'

Bit of genius using the lint from the drier... I know whats going into my kit when we go out and about!

Edit: Oh and I can't take any credit btw... Lofty Wiseman has been teaching him far more than I know.

Good that he's got a good way to decompress. You'll just have to teach him to make you a brew while he's at it. :)
Nice for a dad & son to.have something they can share.
Hope he does well in his exams.
