Thanks, Ed, Andy and Bothyman, but it isn't any of those

There was mention of "Camp dog" and "no, not Julian Clarey's poodle".

Several breeds were mentioned, including the Akita and the Lurcher.

I tried searching with several different terms, but could find nothing about the Akita (sp?) anywhere on the forum...

I had a couple of interesting pictures of "bush dogs" being taken for walkies.

You are absolutely right, Wayne. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Its here .

What with BCUK falling over far too often, and BB standing in for it, and now that Tone's switched to vBulletin, so the two sites are even more similar, I had "lost the thread", so to speak....
