What dye to use?

I was thinking of dying the sheath for my Lapp Puukko. As i've never dyed anything before , has anyone get any suggestions as to what to use? I'm looking to make it darker. Thanx

I'd suggest the Professional Oil Dye by Fiebings. Give the sheath a whipe with Meths or alchohol then apply the dye. Bear in mind the sheath may shrink slightly as it dries so it may be best to cover the knife in cling film & put it back in the sheath when it is half dry.

Before you do anything though I'd go and read some threads here, plenty of good advice...

LePrevo are not just suppliers of dyes and leather if you phone them they will give you advice on what dye to use and they will send you a document to your e-mail address on how to dye leather.

The Fiebings dye's are very good as hedgehog said
