The Book of Eli

I saw it back in 2010 when it came out but it's been a while and I've forgotten much of it so I'm watching it again tonight. I must admit after fifteen years of life experience (I wouldn't say more wisdom though :D ) in between viewings I'm appreciating some of the details and subtleties more the second time around. It's a pretty good post-apocalyptic film. Worth watching again.

I thought I'd seen pretty much all of Denzel's films, but apparently not this one. As it happens, I was looking for some inspiration tonight so I'll give this a go.

Just been watching a short series called 'Manhunt'. A police drama based on the memoirs of a Met DCI and detailing two high profile cases he was involved in. It's well written and put together. It's got Martin Clunes in it, who is very good in the lead role.

Daredevil. It is dire. They have killed TV, now they seem set on killing streaming. What have we done to deserve this. Mind, the libraries have great AV services here .. not Netfix, Disney etc.

Just seen Wolf Works by the Royal Ballet, live streamed from Royal Opera House. (At a local cinema)
Wonderful sensual experience if incomprehensible plot (Perhaps no plot)

I don't really watch a lot of tv but we do have Netflix so occasionally I watch a series with my girlfriend. We recently started watching 'The Good Doctor' about a young, severely autistic, surgeon. We are thoroughly enjoying it.

I do believe that I saw this first time round - Long ago. If I’m remembering the right play he yells the whole geology of cove formation up a cliff and refers to flour, rice and sugar as “The Killer Whites.”

Carry on Camping on Youtube...........after narrowly escaping getting flooded again ( the river arrived just 10 meters from the house at 11 pm yesterday, thanks to storm Nils ) I need a laugh. :)

Got around to watching The Book of Eli (on @HorseGuy's recommendation).

Decent film. Not the best Denzel film ever (let's face it, he has some bangers), but certainy a good way to spend a couple of hours.

If you've not seen it - Look up " 2 Guns " - Denzel and Wahlberg - decent little shootey fun film. Thought they worked well together as a screen pairing.

I have seen that, and I also enjoyed it. Have you seen the Equalizer films? Well worth a watch.

I have.

Other decent buddy movies.

The "Good Guys" - Crowe and Gosling - another pairing I thought worked.

" Kiss-Kiss-Bang-Bang" Downey and the late Val Kilmer - class.
