I’ve just been given this.

I’ve always wanted to try and understand why a rational mind can espouse flat Earth theory. There are people whose views I normally respect who apparently hold this view. If you are one of them then I’m not attacking you in any way. I’m trying to understand.

I’ve only just started it and I’m determined I shall finish it.

Right now I’m not sure whether the author believes that the Earth is flat or whether they believe that they can make money by writing a book declaring that the Earth is flat.

Enjoying reading the Last Kingdom series of books by Bernard Cornwell. I don't normally binge read but currently on the 8th book, I can't put them down.

Just finished listening to the BBC Hordern/Briers 'Jeeves' recordings. 15 plus hours of delicious.

Back to paper now and Maurice O'Sullivan's Twenty Years A-Growing; one of the Blasket Island novels

The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine by Ilan Pappe, an Israeli Historian.

I thought it useful to understand some of the background to the current shocking conflict in the Middle East, particularly as it seems to have the potential to mushroom into something much more sticky. Let us hope not!
