Blimey. All depends on the time of year and what you are doing. I have a pair of Meindl Burma Pros that I use for my general boot. They are excellent. But I alsowear some cheap karrimor shoes I got from sports direct. If it's a bog then I'll wear wellies. For general walkingin the woods and hiking in all weather the meindls are excellent. Too heavy for some people but I love them.

what are the right boots, moccasins, or shoes for bushcrafting

There is no 'right' anything when it comes to bushcrafting, footwear, like most kit, is a matter of personal tastes & financial situations..............." make do with watcha got " is my way of thinking about most things................lou1661 summed it up better than me :D

The simple answer would be ones that fit your feet...

I have used a huge variety of footwear, from Teva sandles, Vibram five finger shoes, to jungle boots, Wellingtons, mukluks, LL Bean pacboots, trail running shoes, hiking boots, full shank leather mountaineering boots, leather telemark ski boots, double plastic mountaineering boots, and dynafit compatible ski mountaineering boots.

All of them in an English size 8 (but a variety of widths)
