Scrolling quickly down, I read this as what is burrowing under my bed!!!
Either I need new glasses or you have burrowers..akin to borrowers but far more destructive.
Hope you find out what it is and let us know.
I've checked under my bed, and all is well, no burrowers or borrowers.

If you come out with a rat attached to your nose you have your answer.

That happened to a friend's lab. But to be fair he was ratting at the time. Seriously, they had a rat dog crossed with a chihuahua that flushed them out but could not kill and a lab that could not flysh but could kill. It got put out by the rat hanging off its nose. Apparently some rats fight back!

If it's rats then a good ratter is amazing to watch. Or more likely hear the squeals then silence, another rat down! I knew a brain damaged terrier that if it could see it was hopeless but in dark places where the other senses take over he was an absolute killer. We're talking in rat infested areas several kills a minute. You could never see it happening but you could hear it!

Quite happy to see moles burrowing under my beds. Haven’t seen them in my own garden for a couple of years. Not many in the field at the back either till this year.

Forgot to say, you can buy wildlife cameras cheaply these days. Aldi / lidl have sold them at times.

Any garden machinery with an engine, length of hose and run it half choke.
Had rats years ago and 1/2 an hour all passed over.
