just seen what is probably a bargain wit was a wetterlings 1kg axe (called a large chopping axe) it has a flat grind to the head but no sheaf. £22.50 bargain or what? thought I may buy one any ideas? whats best is there are several of them anyone interested?:Wow:

Wetterling do do a machine made version of an axe as well as the "hand forged" versions. It has some three letter acronym in the name (I forget which). They are much cheaper than the hand forged versions (you often see them in chainsaw dealers). Good axes none the less, but not comparable. Have a look at the cheeks - if they are completely smooth, its unlikely to be one of their handforged ones (not true of the best custom makers but works for Wetterlings and GB)
