No worries Leon just didnt want someone to be offended if, when they asked someone to borrow their axe, they were firmly told NO!

Generally most people are more than happy to discuss their tool choice but as with all things in life it doesn't hurt to be polite or understand the etiqette involved.

The bushcraft society, like any other, has its own particular fades, fashions and customs. :-D

My one comment would be to JM – Given that Gransfors supply their axes with a 20 year guarantee, have you considered returning your SFA to them with a copy your article? I’d be very interested in their comments, especially given the claims they make about the pride they take in their workmanship.

Well there is no defect in the axe... they still can have pride, it is good axe. do not bother about choosing, both are good axes, the GB is a classic, well finished, oild treated handle, etc, when the W is more "modern, varnish, etc...
