Had a great, if not damp weekend with the Suffolk group. We managed to set up our personal tarps and the commuunal tarp on the friday, before the rain set in.
Wild and windy overnight and I was woken around 3am by the sound of heavy rain on the tarp. I had to change the location of my camp on saturday morning, owing to a dodgy looking limb I had missed on the large Ash I had set up under.
Saturday was mostly heavy showers, but we managed to do a bit of tarpology, spoon carving and water collection/sterilization. We also spotted a few fallow deer while out for a quick bimble around the woods.
The rain had cleared by about 5pm, and sunday morning was glorious, allowing us to pack away dry.
It was a great weekend with a great bunch of chaps.
Near the pond.
Fridays pitch.

Saturdays pitch.
Using the solar oven.
5.45 Sunday morning and the sun was well up.
