Took a trip out to West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village. It's an interesting place to visit if you find yourself in Suffolk.
They have reconstructed the village using experimental archaeological methods based on the findings of the site.

The living house

Deer skull in the main hall

And some interesting thatch work

Weighted loom in the weaving house

There is also an interesting little museum on site with artifacts dating back to mesolithic times.

Visited it a few years back when staying in Bury St Edmunds. We found it very interesting, but not too much there to make a special stand alone visit for imho, unless of course you are local, or like us, were in the area at the time. There may be times during the summer when it becomes a living museum to tickle your senses but not sure. The pictures pretty much sum it up
