Well after much deliberation and weeks of scouring the forum I decided to choose the hobo stove to make. I made one for myself and one for a scouting mate for xmas and now we have swapped gift I can post it up. Well here's how I made it.

Step 1

Purchased a 2 x SS kitchen untesils holder (£4 each), 3 x SS Food storage tins (£5 for 3), 2 x SS soap dish from asda.

Step 2

Marked out where the holes and the front of the stove are going to be.

Step 3

Drill out all the holes and cut out the front.

and cut a large jubilee clip to size and rivet to the boiling container.

Only things I didnt have where a couple of spare tent pegs so didnt boil up a brew but will get plenty brewed on sat when we go out.

Great stove you have made there BigD....
I know this as I am the lucky recipient - and I'm really chuffed with it!

Fired mine up 3 times now. It burns fantastically, and being nesting you don't have to worry about a sooty bottom (snigger) on you pan.

Made a little bag to hold it today... it's just the sleeve from a CS95 shirt cut down to length, using the cuff to hold the draw-string and a circle from the shirt pocket for the base.

I've also added a spork to the bag (never leave home without one ;) ) and cut down a metal coathanger to stand the pot on (instead of pegs).

Just need to make a new penny stove now, as a good friend had my last one away  The axe is only there a Mrs BBH-Skip is taking it tomorrow to wrap for Christmas!

Mate i like the little bag you made very inventive. Got mine burning both days this weekend while fishing after i "borrowed" some tent pegs from my mums guides peg bag lol. I need to get a new spork off you meant to say and you know your not allowed that axe till xmas you bad man.

The idea for the bale wasn't planned I was gonna use a wire coat hanger but just saw them in the garage and a light went on in my head
