Nonsuch very kindly brought a few cheap kuksas back from Finland for us a few weeks ago, they're lovely little things anyway but I've always fancied having a go at kolrosing one. Another read of Waylands's website for a few hours and I set to with a sharp pencil.

I think this will be an ongoing thing, I'll probably add more as I go along

It's a bit rough and ready but I'm quite chuffed for a first attempt ...

A couple of things I learnt ....
  • Stop when you're tired or you feel yourself going cross eyed
  • Cuts can't be undone unless you sand it out
  • Pencil doesn't rub off with an eraser on oiled wood
  • Curves are tricky
  • Cramp in the fingers is no fun

Nice one Rich.

I started to do something with mine but stopped before I ruined it.

Might give it another try.
