Looks interesting but I think it lacks flexibility compared with a waxed cotton coat/jacket -- can't open the front (for venting or accessing kit on belt/in shirt pockets) and there's no poacher/game pocket. Plus I tend to distrust zips.

Although that said I have a Snowsled ventile smock which is cut in a similar fashion and pocket and belt access isn't really a problem, however I also have a 20 year old unlined Barbour Durham jacket which is still going strong and is one of my favorite bits of kit (It doesn't have game pockets but a medium bunny will fit into the side pockets (ish)).
