Water to go

So I have just taken delivery of my new water to go bottle ,
Those of you have this product .. What sources have you taken water from to drink,
Have any of you used this to the extreme as in from stagnant ponds , dykes etc

I'm in India right now using this very bottle. Not dead yet and that includes using it from standpipes where there are visible furry vermin around.
