Ohh yes, I only went and did it.

Willow drill and hearth, took me a lot of time and pain but WELL worth it.

The rice and Trout cooked over the resulting fire were the BEST I'd ever tasted.

Thanks to Garrick of the Forest Knights and Dave @ all at Wildlore for making it possible. Without your expert advice I would have been fumbling around in the dark.
