Wanted end for stick - like the fieldstick ones

Hello,

somewhere online I found about a year ago a website selling pointy ends similar to the field stick range

Fieldstick are sold out and a touch expensive for me. I fancy making my own but want a pointy end like they have.



Anyone any suggestions as to where may sell/make the pointy bits?

I like the magnetic cartridge case collector! The local gun school try hard to pick them up but there's always a few missed ones.

Is the easiest way to fit a 12mm or so aluminium alloy rod into the end of your wooden stick and fit a couple of support rings to prevent splitting?

How long and how acute does the point need to be?
Could you fit a shorter bar into a drill chuck and file a round point?
