Having deceided not to blow all my birthday money on a Tormek-7 (it would mean living on beens until next year as well anyway) I have deceided to take up achery again after 15 years off. I've been threatening to for a few years now and nows a good time.

Could anyone recomend bowyers they use themselves who make traditional/ replica medieval ash bows and the bits to go with, ideally in the North West?

I'd much rather get a recomendation off here than the makers own websites ;-{D).

Thanks

NOT North_West, but just over t'other side a bit

J&J Archery in the Scottish Borders near Coldstream

Have had a couple of bows from her; last was a Mere Heath replica

She does LOTS of traditional wooden bows AND you can test them 1st as she can set up a range in her garden

She does good accessories & all the arrowmaking kit you'd ever need too

Thanks for the replies folks.

The scheme has been put on hold though as the money is now going on a Axminster AS408 Belt & Disc Sander and a Creusen HP7150T Powerline Grinder with polishing bits. I had to move fast as the money was starting to evaporate!

Cheers!
