As some of you from MM will know I finished by Ash longbow on Sunday (not that I'm excited of course 
). Going to give it a light sanding later and then need to oil it. Now it was mentioned that for knife handles you can apply a few layers of Walnut Oil and then boil some up to give it it a harder finish. Not having tried this I'm not sure if it goes brittle or just gives it the appearance of a hard finish, would look fantastic on a bow but I'm not sure if it would crack etc? Any ideas?
