I walked half of it starting from Milngavie. I wouldn't mind doing it again but starting from FW end. The time i did it was during the foot and mouth outbreak and most of england was shut. I was used to the solitude of Dartmoor and one thing I didn't like when on the WHW was the amount of people. You'd get past them, they'd get past you and on etc. Just wasn't used to so many people out walking in the same area. The walk from Milngavie to Crianlarich isn't the best I agree, in fact when I see the restrictions placed around L Lomond I fully understand the reasons. Enjoy the rannoch moor part looks lovely driving through it.
