hello folks,

some weeks ago i took my wife and some friends to our favorite vinyard

on the way out i stumbled upon a huge stack of old cut up vines

i asked the vintner if i could take one to try it for a knife handle, he told me to go ahead, he uses the wood to heat the house (what a waste)

as i left i promised him a knife if the wood turned out useable and this is the result:

blade: polar
handle: mammoth ivory, vine, leather spacer, vine
stand: vine again

what do you think?

critics welcome, as always!

greetings from austria

Very nice. In the old days of the Roman Empire, a centurio would carry a stick made of vine, the vitis, as symbol of his rank. It symbolised vitality and force.
