Thank you, yes i am lucky. The Blue Angels are indeed the Navy's counterpart to the red Arrows. Our Air Force counterpart is the Thunderbirds. But the Thunderbirds are stationed in Nevada whereas the Blue Angels' summer base is here in Pensacola.

You know I like planes but had never heard of the Thunderbirds 'till now. No idea you had two teams, I'll have to go look 'em up, are they as famous then?

At least as famous as the Blue Angels.

Many years ago (decades actually) The Army also had a helicoptor demonstration team, the Silver Eagles, with all enlisted pilots.
