Yes, I drink it quite a bit. Sainsbury's do a tub for about £1.20. It's called marigold, swiss vegetable bouillon. its nice and makes about 8 litres

The normal one is quite salty so try the vegan version (orange tub) for a bit less salt.

Another good one is just dissolve marmite/vegamite in hot water.

I got a low salt version recently from the healthy food section of Sainsbury :)

Get some dried noodles from Aldi (they’re only 15p a pack). Cut them in to 4 (cut in half and then separate the two layers inside the pack). That will give you enough for 4 mugs, put in a mug and add boiling hot water and leave for five minutes. Knor vegetable stock cubes cut in half, adds flavour. That and a slice of homemade bread to dunk is more than filling enough lunch.

There's only around 130 calories in a standard cup a soup if I remember right? In one of Chris Townsend's books, he said he needed two cup a soups with added butter or marg to make it a worthwhile food, so if your on a diet, one on its own should be fine

Oxos come in various flavours these days.

We used to have it with some bread when camping as kids and I made a place for one in my survival kit tin.

Miso soup is the dogs danglies, but like some have already said, why not make your own soup?

Onions, carrots, celery, whatever other veg and herbs you fancy - salt, pepper, add water and boil boil boil. If you want to have a smooth texture, chuck it in a blender and whizz it all up...
