uses for rabbit skin

Hi all,
In two weeks i'm going to have some rabbits to skin and took, what uses are there for the "jacket" that comes off when skinned cleanly?

One of the most interesting uses of rabbit skin I've ever seen is the woven rabbit skin blanket commonly used by the Native Americans here in the San Francisco Bay Area.

turned inside out they make nice snug slippers when them boots get heavy

They do indeed. My first courrans as an infant were made from rabbit skin with the fur inwards I remember them as being wuffly (warm, fluffy, lovely)

or pocket liners too… same principle, the fur turned inwards.

You can use the cut off feet as finger liners too
