Its all been done before but heres my take :)

The US poncho liner is light and very usefull, so out with the old singer ,

Add a opening for my neck ,

Then some Velcro ,

This closes up the sides making a cape ,

Now the Velcro has been added so it can still close as a emergency sleeping bag

And here we go ,

Still work to do I want to cover the neck opening when not in use :).

If I had the cash I would like a kifaru express but this will do for now ,

wonder if it would work with a UK jungle sleeping bag :D

Nice job..!
I wonder if you now attached a wool blanket to the outside...that way you could sit by the fire with it on in winter, it would be nice and warm with no worries about sparks landing on it.
It would also make an even warmer sleeping bag for use in a bed roll / swag
Just a thought :)

Our cousins across the water, love their woobies. I prefer it to our jungle bag, great for top pouch of the bergan. Nice improvements Twodogs, thanks for the ideas.

have to agree with you there Tiger...always used my poncho liner on hot weather deployments..much more comfortable than being trussed up in a sleeping bag no matter how lightweight it was...still got Sweaty n 'Oribble!!
