The frist trip we brought all the kids and camped on shore in the woods had a great weekend.

The second was a canoe trip just the lads and camped on an island for the weekend happy days.

Myself and my two kids had this setup

The rest set up here beside the unfinished tree house

We had all the kids fishing they were catching Perch and Pike and could have stayed at it all day.

We cooked this one on the fire with some sweet chilly sauce.

We used a lot of marsh mallows that weekend, the two older kids lit the fire with berch bark and firesteel and kept it going all week end.

The second trip the weather wasn't as good but we had a great weekend all the same.

The lee of the island was alot calmer.

Our set up on the island was designed to cope with all weather conditions

Dinner the frist night was a 2 1/2 lb trout caught on the lake.

The great thing about canoe trips is you can bring the kitchen sink

My first time to set up one of these hammock chairs well impressed worked great.

Left as we found it apart from the pile of fire wood the next fisherman will use.

That looked like you all had a great time, I like the kids getting involved. Would like to try something like this with my grandchildren They would die without their make up and their blackberrys.

We did have a great time, I think its very important to get the kids involved early, Its one of my great regreats I didn't start bushcraft sooner I spent all my life in the out doors fishing and shooting and in the woods but not learning bushcraft in the past 5 years I have learned campcraft,
knife making, leather work, canoeing, kayaking and had the best trips in the wilds and I will give my kids every chance to do this all their lives.
