Troll

does anyone remember a brand or model of knife from about ten years ago called a troll . just that it is drivng me daft thinking whether it was or not

Yep, it's a Helle Trolle and I have one It's a good bit of kit too

p.s. Ooops, just checked and it's a Brusseletto Troll, not Helle, that's a Polar.

Ah, now that I don't know.
I do know that the one I have has a curly birch handle and a kind of stud on the pommel (like on the old Sam Brown belts) that lets it be firmly secured in it's sheath. It's a very comfortable knife to use.
I imagine it would be popular if it did come in a kit form.

must agree with you that they were very pleasing to the eye and the pocket , only one problem with them
