Hi all.

I am looking to take the wife away somewhere special for our anniversary in November. It has to be somewhere fairly wild.

ideas so far Norway to view Orca.
Iceland walking and camping, might not see much.
Brazil The Iguacu falls

You lot have been around the block so i have heard. Help a man with no imagination out.

cheers,

What do you want to do?

Here it lots of things to do, but november is probably not the best month. The darkness starts to come in november, but it´s still a great country with a lot of wilderness.

i drove from Uppsala to Absiko last time i was in Sweden. One of the best holidays i have had great people fantastic courntryside. i thought about going directly to kiruna but the flights are quite expensive.

i'm open to do anything really walking climbing, just sitting in the wilderness watching the world go by. looking for wolves in Poland would be good. i thought some people might like to share their best travel destinations and i could slide the wife into trying it out.

Abisko is really great, was up there last year and walked down to Nikkaloukta and went to Kebnekaise on the way.
The easiest way to get up to the north is to go by train, it´s cheap and easy, you go on train and sleep most of the trip up.

Flying to sweden from England is really cheap if you go with Ryan air.

How about the Maldives Wayne? rising sea levels mean they're going to disappear under the sea within the next 40 years.May be your last chance!

How about Slovenia? Great walks and climbing. May be a bit on the cool/wet/whote side but still a great place. Beautiful scenery, friendly people, great local brandies (just make sure you have someone to resucitate you).
Despite the long ago war, its a very safe and remarkably unspoilt place.
The Saca river is facinating (source of the Danube, gives it the famous colour). Some very pretty golden trout (sadly no illegal to fish for them).
Just have to watch out fot the odd bear...

Right, where's me passport?
