Ive had this machete for about a year now and havent done anything with it other than replace the wire wrap with handmade buriti palm cordage.
Today I cut it down into a Golok.
Ive been wanting a Martindale #2 for a long time but they arent available here in Brazil. This one fills the gap nicely. I need to make up a leather sheath for it now. Im happy with the way it turned out.
I still have some work to do on the edge. I gave it a good convex that is hair popping sharp. I like to grind the base of my machete blades into a short section with a scandi grind for detailed work. Mac
