Based on a recommendation I saw in a thread on the forum, I got a copy of Animal Tracks and Signs from the local library. Turns out it wasn't quite what I was hoping for in a animal tracks book. I'm wondering if the hive mind of BCUK can help.
As a kid I had a couple of simple books (probably ladybird or penguin), that were simple books with a page or so per animal, with a drawing of the footprints, drawing of the scat, and any other signs, plus a drawing of the animal. They were simple books, I think I had one for mammals and one for birds. But it made it really simple if you were next to a footprint, to flick through and go "aha, roe deer".
The books I had are long gone. Can anyone recommend any books like those described, that allow me to easily identify what the track is that I've already found?
Thanks
Julia
