Yup. I have no use for them.

Isnt there a time when you find something that you have no use for but simply must get as you think they have a future use?

This is the time. Two stainless mesh sheets. Hacksaw for scale.

What would you do with them?
 
Make stick stove similar to the sink drainer stove.

Cut a sheet in half lengthwise.
Curl into a slightly overlapping circle.
Push through two tent pegs to form a pot rest exactly like the cutlery drainer stick stove.

You will end up with the lightest, most easily packed stick stove that you ever did see.

I used that material to make an early Kelly Kettle Hobo prototype. Patrick Kelly didn’t like it, he wanted something more rigid. We soldiered on.

If you want to try for sophistication you can bend back a 10mm strip along each end: one inwards the other outwards so that it can clip into a circle.
