I seem to remember it was quite nice to carve and gave a nice finish.

Oooo that is a nice wood grain, I am envious green with envy.

Lilac is quite springy wood. Splinters fly all over the place when I carve it . Great bow wood but hard to get good stock.

All my lilac split as soon as it was cut so I gave up on it, burns good though.
