WG, you need to get planting some vines etc so that fence gets covered in lovely green leaves and flowers
Well, hopefully next spring will see some natural growth. I've talked to the workmen, buttered them up a bit, and rescued about a dozen rails, hope to use them with several garden projects I have in mind.

Our local primary had a fence like that fitted around the playing field. It was done to stop the folks who walked their dogs on it, let them run around on the grass, etc., They claimed they picked up their dogs doings but the reality was that they sort of smeared it at times, and that's really not what anyone wants in a kids playground. So up went the fence.
Now it's covered in ivy, honeysuckle, and a snash of stuff like nettles, foxgloves, figwort, dockens and sticky willie. It's a haven for insects and birds now.
