hes a marine biologist and is often scuba diving in shark areas while doing research
We have sharks of the coast of Scotland, big critters, they scare me to death even if they only eat plankton.

Most shark attacks are to swimmers on the surface rather than divers, it's reckoned because under the water a diver moving smoothly looks like another big predator and the sharks will usually keep clear unless they are already in a feeding frenzy. I've often seen sharks nearby but never seen any serious threat behaviour under the water. Snorkellers, surfers & swimmers on the surface look like an injured fish and so attract the sharks' attention.

I blame my sister, too many bedtime stories from HP Lovecraft and August Derleth, the murkey unseen depths and large things moving about down there throw all the wrong switches in my head.
I'll buy some! If you have watched Sharktopus, Sharknado etc, you will know that you are not even safe on land.

I'll stick to small bodies of freshwater.
Then again, I suppose bull sharks may find their way further inland eventually. :yikes:
I guess it's a bit like a shoddy parachute, just bring it back if it doesn't work and we'll give you a refund. Lol.
