Did you see any fish jumping ?
HWMBLT says he saw cormorants fishing at Blantyre, thought it was small trout they had. Not far downstream from the salmon ladder at the weir.

Seen some cormorants, a guy was fishing for grayling and was lucky enough too catch a salmon , then put he it back ...

I counted 13 cormorants at Baron's Haugh the other week.

Bloody cormorants, would gladly shoot them for free if an inland licence was granted, the damage they do to a river is scary.

Nevertheless, it looked like a great walk, a date in the diary to get those apples abit earlier next year would be ideal, sure Toddy would have a recipe for some homebrew cider!!!

We complain about the weather and the seasons but when you see pictures like these taken in places less than an hours drive away ............ it makes the rainy stormy crappy days all seem worth it don't you think. Lovely guys. Thanks for sharing.
