In perfect Condition a Terra Nova Super Quasar 4 season Tent.

This is probably the best endurance 4 season tent there is, these are bomproof and will not go anywhere in any conditions..

This tent has only been put up in garden for practise, never been slept in, so is in a new condition.

I had a optinal extra of snow valances attached to the fly at Terra Nova in Derbyshire at an extra cost of £70.

The overall cost of this Tent was £570.

Sold

Cheers Andy.

I can attest to the durability of the Quasar. I have an old Wild Country version
and it's still going strong. This tent design is fantastic.

I would be interested to know if the snow valances can be removed as they
are a bit pointless for UK use and add considerably to condensation problems
in general UK conditions. Very much worth it though in deep snow or boulder
fields.

Yes can be removed, If not needed they can simply be rolled up and cliped to the bottom of the fly..

Nice to have them if camping in Scotland in Winter, trust me..

The VE25...If I remember rightly, when I bought my Quasar in about 1990, the
VE25 (or similar) was on the short list. I think it was too big and heavy though for solo use. Standard Quasar is a tad heavy too, but I found it was worth every ounce.

I considered the Westwind and the Bullfrog which I don't think they do now. I
really fancied the Westwind. I think the two decent bellends on a Quasar swung
it for me and I'm glad it did.

Anyway, I would say that anyone looking for a bomb-proof tent for two+ sleepers, this is as good as it gets. If I didn't still have my old one, I'd have made you an offer.

Cheers for the comments..

Its only going because the VE25 is just that little bit bigger than the Quasar and that suits me at the mo.. However the quality and wormanship of the Terra Nova kit is ( in my opinion ) better than that of the North Face..

I must admit to feeling a tad jeaous of you. I really fancy a new tent. I'm at
that awkward point though. My old tent is still going strong and in my opinion
is worth more and vastly superior to the 2nd hand price I'm likely to get for it.
However, new fabrics - especially on the fly - are much coveted.

I would be sorry to see mine go. It's seen some interesting action - if you
know what I mean - and I'm not just talking about backpacking. It must be added,
that said action was made possible by the voluminous interior of the tent - steep sided walls, excellent head room - and general robustness of the structure...A
Westwind or similar wouldn't have allowed such activities!!

AndyP, not surprised...a superb tent for a superb price..

In case the purchaser is interested, I always separate my old Quasar. I never
wrap it all up in the tent bag.

I put the poles, tent pegs and guys in the tent bag. I 'fold' the flysheet and place it
in a plastic bag (small rucsack liner is ideal) and do likewise with the inner tent.
I then place them in my sack, at the top, much like I would place clothes. I place
my brew kit (mini trangia) on top.

In fact, it is still separated whilst in storage with my other kit in a large cheap nylon zip bag.

Separating the tent saves time in packing away and keeps the wetter flysheet
away from the 'damp' inner.

Perhaps sucking eggs here, but I am always disciplined with airing the tent after
a trip before stashing away. I think this is the main reason mine has lasted so
long. Always check it is bone dry.
