I love birds

I have a passion for raptors but even a blue tit is a joy. So I spent the day putting up nest boxes around the new place. Interesting how each species needs a different shape. Anyone care to guess the species each is for?

Red,

I'll take a few guesses :)

1) Tawny Owl
2) Barn Owl
3) Kestrel
4) depends on hole size - but Great Tit or Pied Flycatcher
5) a few possibilities - Robin or Wren but others will use it

I put 25 boxes in our wood a few years ago and I think around 15 have been regularly used.

Cheers,

Broch
