I do like that squared off end to the spoon. I need to make another spoon for my EDC and intend to pinch the idea.

What wood would you recommend that would be fine grained, resistant to frequent dunking, yet easy to carve? Do you use the wood green or seasoned?

I really like seasoned sycamore, easy to carve, doesnt stain and you can get a really good finish on it using whatever your preferred method is.
