Ahh but what you fail to mention is that our first model (a certain Mr Pignut) broke a lens, so I offered my good looks to save the day!!:D :D

the size is good, enough room for kit to cook under there!

or ample room for 2 to sit in!

there is actually more protection at the front then the pictures indicate, and Kata commented on how he could feel the heat from the fire inside the tarp, even though the fire was very small.

Well pleased with it! needs a good testing now!

Just out of interest did you go for a high thread count for the tarp? Egyptian cotton?
Was looking at Ikea today at material.
Waterproofing?Linseed oil turps?

just a cotton canvas decorators cloth quite tight tough

Waterproofed with fabsil (Though thinking about waxing it)

Hmmmm.
When it comes to choosing my materials, I think I've probably gone over the top.
I got a reasonable deal on 10m2 of 18 oz loom state cotton canvas.

Its a bit heavy and looks like it's going to be a real pogger to handsew.

....Could always turn it into a bombproof canoe, or body armour, or somesuch.:dunno:
