Hi all,
I was thinking of buying an app for my iPhone called taptalk, does any one use this app and is it worth getting? Also does bcuk support it as it's free to install for forum providers?

I've got it and use it all the time to look at this site as well as other forums. British blades are on it as is the hammock forum, just need songs of a paddle on there and I'll be sorted

Its a nice app and not too expensive

Also when it works its easier to post pics using tapatalk.

Try looking at BritishBlades using safari and select the Llightweight" skin from the dropdown box, bottom left. See what you think.

Downloaded it last night. I used to think that viewing on Opera was OK, but had to resize the screen regularly. Tapatalk has removed this requirement and it's actually quicker to view threads too. Very pleased with it.

No, my son did Martyn but I had a look; I've no need for it as I only use a laptop or PC's for the internet to be honest (I'll read email on a phone). My message here (#6) was just to see if there was a problem to post a message here without it; there wasn't. Opera Mobile is pretty nifty as a browser on the Android and iPhone.

It's no drama using a browser on a phone but tapatalk makes things a lot easier and faster without the need to resize or anything. I find it easier with tapatalk than a laptop to be fair!

You may be able to get it for free for Android too

You can get it free IIRC, still don't want it. How can looking at a phone screen be easier than a laptop? You must have super eyes

The text is a similar size to on a computer and I find the layout easier than a phone browser. Take it or leave it, I'm not a salesman

Tapatalk has two versions, a free one which you can't post with, the other which you can but costs.

Works fine on most forums, been having a few problems with Bushcraftuks as for some reason the "latest" doesn't work on it, but everything else is fine. Much easier to post pics on it!
